Us Or Dealer
When you go to a dealership for service or repairs, your interaction is with a service writer who is basically a salesman. Service writers go to sales training programs and for the most part are not technicians, so they don't necessarily understand how your car works. Making matters even worse is the fact that you never get to actually meet or talk to the actual technician who works on your vehicle. And because the technician has no contact or relationship with you, his main concern is not catering to you so much as figuring out how much work he can do on your car.
As for the national chain shops, such as drive through lube places and the like, they employ the least trained technicians in the industry. Wrong fluid replacement happens, bolts are stripped, lesser quality oil filter and other replacement parts are used.
In sharp contrast to dealerships and chain shops, at The Engine Room, our goal is always to develop continuing relationships with people who want to maintain their cars in top shape.
